An Australian poultry processor on the Sunshine Coast
Young Foods makes frozen, ready-to-cook crumbed and marinated chicken for foodservice kitchens — made in Australia, and most of it cooks straight from frozen.
Who we are
We run a purpose-built processing facility in Kunda Park, Queensland, built around an IQF (individually quick frozen) line so every piece is frozen at peak freshness. Our products are made in Australia from local and imported ingredients — Australian chicken is the main one — crumbed and prepared for consistent results in busy commercial kitchens.

Real food, made better — quality crumbed and marinated chicken that gives busy foodservice kitchens consistent, great-tasting results with minimal prep.
Why we started
Before we built a factory, we ran restaurants. In our venues we watched skilled people spend hours on the same prep — marinating, crumbing, frying — by hand, every day. Young Foods exists to move that repetitive work out of the kitchen and onto an efficient, automated line, so the people in hospitality can spend their time on the work that matters most.
Labour costs
Wages keep rising. Product made on an efficient line helps owners keep running costs under control.
Hiring, training and rosters
Every extra pair of hands in the kitchen brings recruiting, training, safety and rostering with it. Less prep by hand means less of all of that.
Simpler stock
Making it from scratch means many ingredients and many steps to keep track of. A ready-to-cook product cuts both down.
Room for the head chef
The person running the kitchen gets time back for the menu, the team and the service.

Our story so far
2018
Kumyoung and Sungmin open the first Sushi Ari restaurant in Sippy Downs.
2023–25
Sushi Ari and Ari Cha grow into a network of venues across the Sunshine Coast and Gympie — the demand that made a dedicated kitchen the next step.
2026
Young Foods Pty Ltd established (ABN registered 10 February 2026) to supply the group — and foodservice kitchens beyond it.

Young Foods was started by the family behind Sushi Ari and Ari Cha — a group of 12 venues across the Sunshine Coast and Gympie. Years of running busy, high-volume kitchens shaped what we make and how we make it.
